Actually the Capri was *supposed* to be the Miata, but the Australian dev team took so long that the Japanese/Cal version came out first.

It will never stop amazing me how the Capri is, basically, the alternate universe Miata, where it was front-drive, turbocharged, more practical, and featured contemporary styling. Except it exists in the same universe as the Miata.

The S2000 is a fantastic car, but people who buy a Miata because it's cute and the top goes down aren't going to like it. Enthusiasts didn't like the Capri, the BMW is too expensive and the Solstice too uncomfortable. The Miata appeals to most of the core buyers for all those cars at the same time.

This is funny because the Miata has been going strong for almost 30 years and no one has really matched it. Many have tried, but none had the ballance of style, comfort, handling and affordability the Miata possesses. Solstice S2000 Z3/Z4 Capri MR2 Spyder All good, but not Miata good.

Watched Napoli FC cruise to a 3-0 win over Frosinone, McTominay and Gilmour on from the bench. Great atmosphere, and chaotic travel to and from the stadium in yet more downpours.
